Regional cinema, redefined. From the seven sisters, to the world.
Founded by a co-operative of independent North-Eastern filmmakers in early 2019, Tambul began as a quiet experiment — a streaming home for Assamese, Manipuri and Bengali-language cinema that was being shut out of mainstream OTT. Six years on, Tambul is the largest digital archive of contemporary North-East Indian film.
Filmmakers' co-operative formed in Guwahati.
Tambul OTT app launched on Android.
First Manipuri original "Loktak" added to catalogue.
Crossed 500+ titles in regional languages.

The flagship title from Tambul, produced and distributed under GLOBAL MOVIE MEDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. This poster is the registered key art for the title and is protected intellectual property of GLOBAL MOVIE MEDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.
